From our guests:

We love it here – a little more each time we come. We’ve been blessed with beautiful weather & enjoyed den-building in the woods, at sessions in the Art Stop & the green surroundings of the lodge. Took in a Family Show at Boston Blackfriars Theatre, travelled to the amazing Belton House but mostly relaxed, played games & appreciated some much needed family time Thanks as always, kids can’t wait to come again. Wrangle Spice curry very good. The Carvery @ The Bricklayers Arms also good & great value .Rachael & Adam & family April 2019

A wonderful relaxing, inspiring break. Helped to re-focus the mind & purpose of life. We’ll get out Solar PV soon! We’ll be back. Sam, Jo & family. May 2019

Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautiful Ecolodge. Nice & close to visit Nan down the road. So peaceful, tranquil & I love the ethos of the place. Amy & Wayne September 2020

I was very happy to be included in the [family’s] Ecolodger Club [est. 2009)Expectations were more than fulfilled. Time for sleep, time to talk, time to laugh & be silly &, of course, time to breather oxygen-rich air & hear the magical sound of the wind in the top of the Poplars. Pete [& Liz & Zeddi] October 2020

We have very different ideas about holidays. One of us desperate to go away after 15 months at home, the other a believer that holidays are a ‘penance for having a nice life!’ Staying here has been a total delight & pleased us both. And the dog loves it. We already thought it was magical, even before a bottle of cider appeared on the step this morning!Thank you so much, we hope to be back soon. PS Go to the Bubblecar Museum, it’s excellent. Linda & Andy May 2021

Got here last night and we had nice fish & chips from Old Leake Fish & Chips. We then had a very comfortable sleep after a few rounds of Connect 4. After waking up today, we relaxed in the grounds, went to the Art Stop and played badminton, using the washing line as the net!We will soon be going swimming and then to a Curry House for dinner. We are also making plans to go to Boston May fair tomorrow evening & the local park if the weather holds. Rachel, Adam, Jackson & Dylan May 2023

From our guests:

Secluded, peaceful & a digital detox. Just what we all needed! We enjoyed some lovely BBQs, sunny beach trips & our Labrador enjoyed every moment too. The Travers family August 2021

Glorious few days. Reading, badminton, elaborate games made up by the kids in the woods & meadows. Dice games, shoe hunts, art trips to the Art Stop & general family fun. Jackson says he relaxes here because of the environment and loves how cosy the lodge is when it’s raining. Thank you for another wonderful stay. Good to see you again. ‘THIS IS THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.’Rachel. Adam & Jackson June 2022

We all enjoyed staying in the Ecolodge. Living ‘off-grid’ has been very satisfying. Burning local wood too. We didn’t master the wood stove for cooking, probably because we were not keeping it going for long enough- kept the cabin cosy though. Geri was very welcoming & the log deliveries kept us topped up.A couple of observations: the enormous cracks in the the meadow ground caused us and our dogs some consternation, Not something you can do anything about, but maybe worth warning visitors. Also the draining board needs re-oiling as the water’s just soaking through! I’ll be recommending the Ecolodge to my friend as she’s already intrigued, Thanks Tass & Ian September 2022

We stayed here 18 years ago & coming back has been just as lovely as the first time. Such a relaxing weekend & we really enjoyed chatting to Andy & Geri & playing with clay. So good to be here again. Cleethorpes Poetry sounds good too. Looking forward to watching Andy’s U Tube channel. Ali & Andy October 2022

From our guests:

Thanks for your hospitality. This is such a comfortable & peaceful space. I felt cocooned among the leaves surrounding us. Being aware of what we use, especially power & water, is a salutary lesson. We have had a lovely time off-grid & thoroughly enjoyed it all. You must visit the Bubble car Museum. Sally & Carole June 2023

A wonderful opportunity to simply relax & draw upon the beautiful natural environment. A rare gem that feels like stepping outside the normal pace of life. Liz & Jan December 2023

We all absolutely love this place. We feel so at home here and can’t believe it took us so long to come back [last visit 2016!] Thank you for re-inspiring us and for reminding Oliver what childhood should be. We won’t leave it so long next time. Andy Becky & Oliver. April 2025
